Sue Higgins off leash Park

Sue Higgins Park formerly known as Southland Dog Park is Calgary’s largest off-leash recreational area encompassing 62-hectares of green space in the South East Calgary. The park was rebuilt after the floods of 2013 that saw most of the parkland under water. The park was renamed in 2014 after the death of Sue Higgins a long time Calgary Alderman who was known as the ‘Alderbroad’.  Higgins represented S.E. Calgary on Counsel for 21 years and was know for her feisty character and colorful language. Sue Higgins always said it like it was & fought for what she believed to be right. CREB® forecasts a process of recovery for the remainder of 2017

The first-half of 2017 marked a shift in Alberta's economy from recession to recovery, with conditions supporting stability rather than expansion.

"Economic challenges continue to exist, as high unemployment rates, weak migration levels and more stringent lending conditions are weighing on the housing market," said CREB® chief economist Ann-Marie Lurie. 

"This will continue to cause some adjustments in the housing market for the remainder of this year. However, this is not expected to offset earlier gains supporting general stability in 2017."
